Frequently asked questions

Everything about how Pear works — for the people shopping and the brands selling.

For shoppers

Amazon, Temu, and Shein are retail marketplaces that rely on third-party sellers, resellers, or middlemen. Pear, by contrast, connects you directly to brands, eliminating unnecessary markups and enhancing authenticity and pricing transparency.

Pear is not a wholesaler. Brands keep full control over their products and pricing. Pear simply provides the platform — ownership and relationships remain directly between brands and shoppers.

Because you’re not buying from Pear — you’re buying through Pear directly from each brand. Our brand partners retain full control over their product lifecycle from start to finish.

Data from Pear shoppers is shared only with the brand they are engaging with and trusted payment processors necessary to complete purchases. This data does not leave Pear beyond these parties. Shoppers have full control over what data they choose to share.

Shoppers curate their own feed by selecting the brands they love. Pear then personalizes the experience using genuine engagement data, not ads or intrusive tracking, ensuring every product shown is relevant and meaningful.

For brands

Brands can upload products either programmatically through Pear’s API or manually via the Brand Side Platform using the tools available on their self-serve dashboard.

Brands receive first-party data directly from consumers, including information on product views, clicks, wishlist saves, and purchases. They also get non-PII (Personally Identifiable Information) that helps them optimize their supply chain and improve product offerings. This data enables brands to personalize customer engagement, refine their marketing strategies, and streamline inventory management.

Pear lets brands schedule and manage drops in advance with marketing integration tools that notify users in real time.
